Welcome to WhereDidIt? ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: If you register, we collect authentication details securely managed via Google Firebase Auth.
  • Financial Data: The app requires manual input of your wallets, balances, and daily expenses. This data is synced securely using Firebase Firestore so you can access it across devices (online/offline sync). We do not connect to your bank or collect banking credentials.
  • Purchase Information: If you purchase a premium subscription, transactions are processed by Google Play and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card details.
  • Device & Usage Data: We automatically collect basic device info (OS, Device ID) for crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics to improve the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the app's core functionality: calculating burn rate, tracking wallets, and generating PDF reports.
  • To securely sync your data so it is available offline and online.
  • To process premium subscription payments securely.
  • To serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements (only in the free tier) via Google AdMob.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

  • Google Play Services & Firebase: For authentication, secure database hosting, and crash analytics.
  • RevenueCat: For managing in-app subscriptions and validating receipts.
  • Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements in the free version.

5. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated financial data at any time.

How to Request Deletion:

  1. Send an email to hello@mrmoeed.com.
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request - WhereDidIt?".
  3. Include the email address associated with your account.

What is deleted: Your user profile, all recorded wallets, transactions, and settings will be permanently erased from our Firebase servers. Retention: Some anonymized transaction data may be kept for a limited period to comply with financial and tax regulations via RevenueCat.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using WhereDidIt?, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Intellectual Property

The App, including its original content, features, layout, and functionality, are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

3. Limitation of Liability

WhereDidIt? is a personal finance tool provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties regarding the absolute accuracy of the app's financial calculations (such as burn rate or runway days). In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, financial losses, or inaccurate calculations resulting from your use of the App.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

WhereDidIt? offers a Premium subscription to remove advertisements and unlock advanced features (like unlimited wallets and PDF exports). By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Optional Nature: A subscription is not required to use the core expense tracking functions.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play Store Account Settings.
  • Refunds: Payments are processed by Google Play; refund requests must be handled according to Google Play’s refund policy.
